10 Questions for Personal Growth: Daily Self-Reflection
We evolved as a species using the process of trial and error.
Daily! Weeks, months and years. It is the strategy written in our genes.
The point is not to make mistakes. The idea is to learn something from a mistake.
Making mistakes is natural. It’s not a bad thing. Mistake is simply a form of feedback. Being wrong is perceived as something bad because of the packaging in which this feedback is delivered. Feedback that is delivered from outside or through internal dialogue.
The inner dialogue is what makes the difference.
“Everything is poison and everything is medicine; only the dose makes the difference.” — Hippocrates
And because it never stops and it takes years of specific practice to stop this dialogue for only a few minutes, it becomes important how it happens. This is why daily self-reflection is needed.
Shall we set aside time for self-reflection every day?
The process that is repeated daily becomes a habit. It becomes routine, it is easier to apply. Coming with benefits, the practice will be strengthened.
