Hack Life’s Rhythm: Strong Insights Now From Bukovina’s Forests
Unlock Life-Changing Lessons from Remote Forests to Enhance Your Daily Rhythm
I went to the north of the country. Life there has a different rhythm.
I wandered through the forests of Bukovina. The area is not industrialized, and the locals generally work in the forestry sector or the hospitality industry. The people are very friendly. When you meet them, it’s great to have a chat. Preferably a longer one. That’s how you make human connections.
I met a forester there with his horse. A horse specific to the area: small, sturdy, and brown. He was pulling a tree that had been uprooted, probably for sanitary reasons.
Spontaneously, I admired the horse. I don’t know much about horses, but I can recognize a beautiful animal. I admired it out loud, and that’s how I started talking to the man.
I learned from the forester, as he was catching his breath next to me, that it was a very strong and hardworking horse that wouldn’t stop until it uprooted the tree. It was preferred for practical reasons: a tractor can’t reach the work sites on mountain roads.
These horses work until they collapse.
