How We Focus on What Truly Matters
There was a time when finding external balance and peace seemed overwhelming. There’s a scene in Kung Fu Panda 2 where the protagonist searches for inner peace. The scene is here:
What I can say is that this is not how it is sought, especially not found in this way. Everyone has their way of finding inner peace. It’s the first thing that needs to be found.
The good news is that once the path to inner peace is found, we can resume it whenever we want.
Another good news is that peace is born inside when there is noise outside. It’s a universal law. You can’t have yang without yin somewhere.
I’ve built a list of what truly matters to me. This is my list:
Quietude and Efficiency:
My need for inner quiet guides me to seek efficiency. Just like in taijiquan practice. There are no unnecessary movements. Similarly, in aikido practice, only the essential movements are strict.
