Discovering That We Control Our Own Happiness: Breaking Free from the Victim Mentality
It turned out that people who put themselves in total comfort but who lived in isolation, had feelings of sadness or happiness that came only from their consciousness, from the past.
We become happy or sad on our own, without realizing that we risk always remaining a slave.
Life becomes meaningful when:
1) Stop playing the victim (because everyone is a victim in life, get over it).
2) Align every possible action with becoming a better person (and be open to making mistakes, because you will).
Meditation or any form of awareness can help you become a master, letting go of being a victim.
That’s why I love the concept of accountability — if you realize that whatever happens, you are responsible for, then you become an absolute master and can improve from there at any time (as opposed to watching and blaming others)
