We tend to misuse our time and mental energy. For years, I’ve noticed a common theme: many of us (myself included!) expend mental energy rehashing past events. Then, consciously, we worry about what the future holds. Sometimes, it’s not enough! We even glance over a few catastrophic headlines. Obviously, about events that have gone awry in the world. They don’t make you smarter. They don’t make you more informed. They don’t make you more skilled. Instead, they show you that life is tough and uncertain, and everything is going wrong. A strange way to prepare for a day’s work.

What if you had the key to a happier and healthier life? You just need to focus on the present!

Living in the present can transform your mental perspective. It’s a smart approach to temporarily stop those repetitive thoughts. It’s a break from the constant stress of overthinking. The bonus is that it can move us toward inner peace.
