The clash between authenticity and power
Don’t be strong. No, no, don’t struggle to appear strong. It hurts, and when it hurts, don’t struggle to be strong. If you want to be strong, you will learn to hide your pain, you will learn to hide your vulnerability.
When it hurts, you will be silent, or maybe you will smile, I have no idea. You will suppress your pain inside, hide it as best as you can so that no one sees you as weak! Or sees you as vulnerable. You will hide your weakness from everyone’s eyes, and you will hide it so well that you will get used to hiding it! \
With every moment you are strong, you distance yourself further and further from yourself.
You will learn to hide your negative emotions so well that, in the end, you won’t even find them. But they are there, they are inside your body, but so well hidden that they have even lost their names.
When you are strong, you detach yourself from yourself, trying to seem like someone you are not, trying to seem invincible. And you are not. Don’t be strong. Maybe today you managed to hide your negative emotions, maybe you managed yesterday, and maybe you will tomorrow. This hiding will become a habit, and you will be so far from yourself that you won’t even know who you are.
