The Mysteries of Tech: How Technology Overuse Affects Our Psychology and Behavior
Does anyone remember the days when the only thing that could stop a good sleep schedule was a fascinating book or a popular TV series?
Now there are many more challenges. Sometimes, writing in my journal an hour before bed was not a big challenge for me.
Now, a healthy bedtime routine is mandatory, whether I like it or not.
Sleep and its quality is as important as responsible nutrition and hydration.
And the biggest challenge for this routine is about the use of digital devices.
Things are good when they are done in their time and in the rhythm that supports them. Digital devices are good and have their point. Many of them make our lives better.
It is important to remember that the difference between medicine and poison is only given by the dose we administer.
It is no longer a secret that the excessive use of digital devices can lead to a decrease in the ability to concentrate and pay attention, due to the behavior of quickly jumping from one activity to another and frequently checking social networks. It is no longer something exotic to experience the cases when we have several windows open on our laptop, while we are working or having fun.
