What should you know about inner dialogue?

Within me exists a well-trained inner critic.

We all have a mental function of inner dialogue.

Many believe that inner dialogue is actually thinking, personal intelligence. In reality, it’s just a rusty disc that keeps spinning and verbalizing the old programs you’ve been bombarded with since childhood. It’s not like someone had something against you. Often, you administered those bombardments yourself.

How your psyche is built and what the inner dialogue does (the 5 levels of depth of your psyche)

Imagine your psyche as an onion with layers. The outermost layers are the things that are most visible about you.

The first level of the psyche: Environment and behaviors

On this level, I’ve combined two elements: the environment you live in and your behaviors. In NLP, you’ll learn them separately, but here, to keep it simple, I’m presenting them together.

For example, how you dress, how you behave, the habits you have, all define you, show something about you.

The colors you choose, the places you frequent, the people you surround yourself with, the books you read, they all tell me something about you. They’re all part of your psyche, they’re your choices.
